This is just one of the many questions to be answered in Book 5 of the Lockwood & Co。 series。 Will Lockwood ever reveal more about his family's past to Lucy? Will their trip to the Other Side leave Lucy and Lockwood forever changed? Will Penelope Fittes succeed in shutting down their agency forever? The young agents must survive attacks from foes both spectral and human before they can take on their greatest enemy in a climactic and chaotic battle。 And to prevail they will have to rely on help from some surprising--and shadowy--allies。 Jonathan Stroud once again delivers a rousing adventure full of danger, laughs, twists, and frights。 The revelations will send readers back to Book 1 to start the series all over again。

Oh my。。。I read this whole series in a couple of weeks, and man, did I love it。 I knew Stroud already from the Bartimaeus Sequence, which I first read 15 years ago。 Found the series when I watched the TV series, and read comments about it being such a good adaptation。 It was, and I very much liked it。 It was a fun, fast-pace read, with great characters and lots of emotions rolling around。 Obviously, being familiar with Bartimaeus, I was quite afraid for some characters。

After weeks of reading this series, I can't believe it's over。 The whole series was put together in a way that each ending of a book left you for wanting more。 Twists and turns at each corner were unpredictable and suprising。 I will dearly miss the wondrous residents of 35 Portland Row and hope whereever life leads them it will be for the better。 After weeks of reading this series, I can't believe it's over。 The whole series was put together in a way that each ending of a book left you for wanting more。 Twists and turns at each corner were unpredictable and suprising。 I will dearly miss the wondrous residents of 35 Portland Row and hope whereever life leads them it will be for the better。 。。。more

This book delivered an amazing story to close Lockwood & Co's final series, with how it finally gave us closure to the mystery behind what causes the never-ending haunting。 It may seem like your typical YA Fantasy book, the the teen lead-characters unfolds the villain-truth goes out-instant hero, but it does not。The realistic part about this book is that, in a world (haunted or not) politics between the upper member of society is still something that controls you, how you will broke the truth, a This book delivered an amazing story to close Lockwood & Co's final series, with how it finally gave us closure to the mystery behind what causes the never-ending haunting。 It may seem like your typical YA Fantasy book, the the teen lead-characters unfolds the villain-truth goes out-instant hero, but it does not。The realistic part about this book is that, in a world (haunted or not) politics between the upper member of society is still something that controls you, how you will broke the truth, and how the truth is almost always filtered and picked before we can see them on the media。。。spoiler alert。。Spoiler alert, though L&Co did a good job to unfolds what happen with Fittes, society won't know the entire thing because they cover up the big truth。 。。。more

I have a book hangover。 This book…this series, was amazing。 I’m loved every thrilling, entertaining, heart warming, heart wrenching moment。 I love locklyle, and George, Holly, kipps, and SKULL! What friends。 What family。 I am so sad it’s ending。 I will be re-reading for a loooong time, clinging to all the subtle moments, the slow burn romance, the longing stares, the laugh out loud jokes。

Strong 4。5。 A satisfying conclusion to this series。 It got better the further along it went。 Questions are answered and it actually wasn't all what I would have predicted。 As an adult, I enjoy when a juvenile book surprises me and is slightly unpredictable because frequently they are very predictable。 Love the growth and development of the characters and their relationships throughout the series。 Strong 4。5。 A satisfying conclusion to this series。 It got better the further along it went。 Questions are answered and it actually wasn't all what I would have predicted。 As an adult, I enjoy when a juvenile book surprises me and is slightly unpredictable because frequently they are very predictable。 Love the growth and development of the characters and their relationships throughout the series。 。。。more

Oh I just loved this book。 This series has hooked me from book 1 and I'm not ashamed to admit it。 Perfect ending but I still yearned for more! I hope Netflix don't mess up the TV adaptation with the next seasons because I have become seriously attached to this story。 Definitely had me spooked but also grinning like an idiot。 A series I will likely revisit time and again。 Oh I just loved this book。 This series has hooked me from book 1 and I'm not ashamed to admit it。 Perfect ending but I still yearned for more! Досить в’яле завершення серії。 Склалось враження, наче автор сам втомився від історії Локвуда і ко。。 Самоповторення та банальне розкриття головних загадок серії тому яскраве свідчення。 Дещо розчарований, очікував явно більшого。

To be fair, it's not a solid 5 but since this is the last installment I just want to give a roundup because I JUST LOVE THIS SERIES OMG!! So so glad that Netflix finally done something with the book so it triggered me to finish。 I even bought the e-books (and not borrow from friends as I planned to years earlier)。 For me Stroud did a very good job with the friendship, the ghost cases, the evil, and especially the skull! Love the Skull so much lol (gosh I am writing it like a teenager)。 If you ha To be fair, it's not a solid 5 but since this is the last installment I just want to give a roundup because I JUST LOVE THIS SERIES OMG!! Satisfying end to this series, with more character development and engaging twists。 A few components of the narrative that had seemed interesting mysteries to me were not completely explained, but overall, there was a sense of finality with enough room for reader imagination in what is next。

I'll give it a 3。5 just because it's the best (and last) book in the series。 Everything we've read has been leading up to this final confrontation and it does have a satisfying conclusion and some genuine peril beforehand that gave this a bit more dramatic heft than the other books。It was still too long, the characters were still too shallow, we still didn't learn the Skull-in-the-ghost-jar's name (although he becomes slightly more fleshed out as a character, tee hee)。 The thought building behin I'll give it a 3。5 just because it's the best (and last) book in the series。 Everything we've read has been leading up to this final confrontation and it does have a satisfying conclusion and some genuine peril beforehand that gave this a bit more dramatic heft than the other books。It was still too long, the characters were still too shallow, we still didn't learn the Skull-in-the-ghost-jar's name (although he becomes slightly more fleshed out as a character, tee hee)。 The thought building behind the world was not very deep。And frankly I had sussed out the central mystery a few books ok so no big reveal to me。 Overall rather mediocre except for some humor but I could see the appeal for older children looking for an action-y read。 。。。more
